2001 Dodge Neon Check Engine light on
This Dodge Neon had no Running problem, but it had a check engine light that was
stopping it from passing emissions. Our first step was to use Escan to check for
Diagnostic Trouble Codestrouble codes. |

It looks as if the Catalytic Converter may have a problem. Let's see what
Mode6
has in it for info on the converter. You can see the highlighted blue line in the
pic below shows the switch ratio used to determine if the converter is working properly.
The test value here is too high. |

We can follow this up with a check of the converter using the
Catalytic Efficiency Test.
In the pic below you can definately see this converter is not up to good standards
and needs to be replaced. |
