1998 Honda Accord Catalyst Replacement

This Honda had a P0420 Catalyst inefficiency code after confirming a failing mode6 test for the catalyst we decided to capture some before data.

Looking at the scandata for this Honda's O2 sensors shows some similarity between the front and the rear O2's patterns. Next here is what the Catalyst Efficiency Test shows us.
We can see here that the switch rate of the O2's is causing a Low Efficiency reading on the Catalyst Test. On the left is data from an Exhaust Gas Analyzer that can be coupled with Escan.
Here the same test after replacement of the Catalytic Converter and the Rear O2 sensor which was not serviceable because of poor threads.
We can see here that now the vehicle passes the Catalyst test. Note also that the Exhaust Gasses look improved.

Here is some After O2 sensor Data.

Finally here are some Screenshot Movies of a test drive after the Diagnostic Codes, Monitors,  and  Mode6 data is cleared and relearned to confirm the repair. There are three parts. Notice the Monitors running and the mode6 data updating. This was taken on a test drive after the repair. At the end of the test drive a Catalyst Efficiency Test was run.
